This collection of work is a homage to the ordinary person, inspired by two photograph albums found 14 years ago by a friend walking her dog on waste-ground near the University of Illinois in Chicago and found their way to me 11 years later.
After many months of research I discovered that these photographs once belonged to Dorothy Smith. They record her life, family and friends from the early 1900’s to the late 1970’s. The last photographs in the album were taken in Lynn Haven, Florida. It is a work in progress and I hope to exhibit the full collection and the original photographs in the future.
