This work explores the effects of poverty on families in the UK. The jumpers represent a father, a mother and their baby. They are embroidered with text and imagery that offers the hopes, dreams, pressures and anxieties from the perspective of each. The viewer is invited to reflect on contrasting family experience.
This work will be part of closed exhibition "Tomorrow's Child" held at Westminster Palace, Houses of Parliament in support of the 1001 Critical Days manifesto. June 2016
